Hello 2018!

It’s hard to believe that it’s 2018! It seems like 2017 went by way too quick.  I also realize I kind of dropped the ball on the whole blogging thing (I went like 5-6 months without posting anything) but this year I’m going to try and do better.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season!  I got some amazing unexpected stuff for Christmas like EQ8, (more) Neverland fabric from Riley Blake, and the kit for Gravity by Jaybird Quilts!!

I plan to blog my progress with Gravity as well as my progress with Postcard From Sweden, which is a kit I had gotten last Christmas…and just starting now.  I’ve also got a few other projects on the go which I’ll update you on in upcoming posts.

Along with blogging more often, my main goal in 2018 is put at least one pattern up for sale.  As you may know, most of my quilts are my own design and now with EQ8, I will be able to (hopefully) design the ideas floating around in my head and share them with all of you!

I can’t wait for what 2018 will bring and what quilts will be made!

Do you Pfaff?

I have some very exciting news! If you follow me on instagram then you already know…but if you don’t, I BOUGHT MY VERY OWN PFAFF!  I’m so excited!

Since I started quilting,  Momma bear has graciously allowed me to use her Pfaff 2046 (and I’ve managed to break the bobbin casing twice).  I always talked with her about buying my own machine but I was undecided about what machine I wanted (I almost bought one of Janome’s Hello Kitty machines because…Hello Kitty).  But seeing how Momma bear has two Pfaff’s and all the accessories, I ultimately decided that Pfaff would be the way to go.

The last few weeks I’ve been a kijiji power user (kijiji is a classified ad website where you can find pretty much everything).  Last week I found an ad for a Pfaff 2046 (how convenient!) and on June 2, I joined the Pfaff owner’s club!  I guess this makes me a real quilter now!

My Pfaff!
